Proximity voice, a live danger map and the real dinosaurs

This one changes how the island feels. You can now hear the players around you, see where the danger is before you spawn in, and every dinosaur on the site finally looks like the one you play.

Proximity voice

Talk to the players near your dinosaur, straight from the website. No extra app, no Discord channel to join.

• The closer they are, the louder they sound, and they come from the side they're standing on. Headphones make it feel like you're there.
• Full volume up close, fading out at about 60 metres. Walk away and they're gone.
• Nobody can see who's on voice. You only hear who's near you, so a voice in the bushes stays a surprise.

How to join: spawn in on the server, open Live Island and press Connect in the Proximity voice card. Your browser asks for the microphone once. Keep the page open while you play; next time you spawn in, it connects by itself.

Live danger map

Our Discord has a new channel, #danger-zones, with a heatmap of the island that refreshes every minute. The hotter the spot, the more players have been there in the last five minutes.

It shows how many are online and out on the island, never who or which species. A busy patch could be a herd or a pack. You'll have to go and find out.

The real dinosaurs, everywhere

The painted pictures are gone. Every dinosaur on the site is now rendered from its actual game model, the same one you paint in the Skin Studio.

You'll see them in the Dino Market, on the Trading Post, behind the podiums in Rankings, on Patreon Access and in your Live Island portrait.

Games, live

The Games page now shows what's happening right now: the last Roll results, the last Crash points, today's biggest wins and the latest rare crate drops. Every round and every crate is still provably fair and can be checked in your Account Hub.

Every update, patch note and announcement now lives on News, with a filter by type, so nothing gets lost under the newest post.

Fixes and polish

• Kills where the game log has no victim name now show up properly in the kill feed instead of a raw log line.
• Raffle and Rankings read properly on phones again; nothing gets cut off.
• The welcome gift code fits on phones.
• Roll and Crash no longer tell signed-out visitors they're out of DinoCoins.
• The Tyrannosaurus card on Patreon Access clearly says Pack Legend unlock only.
• Cleaner Challenges, Rankings and Account Hub, and a My profile link in your menu.
